Eating at the pub: I hadn't been here for about two years. It's changed owners or had a complete change. My mum says they got a new chef 6 months ago. What I do know is that it looks and smells much better inside. The staff were very nice and the food is much better (without having a price hike, which is impressive).nnIt's now the best pub meal in Colac. Could only improve by having a few more choices on the menu.
I had a chicken parmigiana and my husband had chicken schnitzel. They were one of the best we have had. Prices were reasonable, plus there is the choice of a half serve with some of the meals. Chippies were excellent too. Staff were absolutely lovely. Highly recommend this place.
For a back packers accommodation it is good, rooms are perfect for a quick getaway. Good location. Staff are bubbly and friendly, with good knowledge if the area. Friendly.
Great meals. Freezing cold beer. Very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely people, great steak and veggies — delicious, and nice amenities like impeccably clean toilets. Very above average country pub!
