Australia Post Newlands Estate LPO

We believe this is operated by an older man and wife team. The lady who is usually at the counter is consisently very rude, snappy, and has overall a terrible understanding of customer services. In contrast, the man is lovely. If it wasnt for him, 1 star is all this PO would get. We found ourselves reluctantly playing customer service russian roulette everytime we walked in the door. We live literally a 30 second walk from this post office but despite that if we need to discuss anything postal related or do anything requiring any degree of personal interaction we now drive to one in Preston.

Absolutely horrific customer service, I am absolutely appalled and will be making a complaint to Aus Post. I lost my collection slip, went to pick up my mail with photo ID and the manager refused to serve me, told me to go home and wait until the second slip came in, refused to look through any letters/parcels to see if my item was behind the counter. Told me I was wasting her time and that it wasn't her job to look through things without a slip, told me the fact that I "couldn't be bothered" to go home and look for the slip wasn't her problem and that she had better things to do. There was no one else in the shop and she was just standing there. When I asked if there was someone else I could speak to, she said that she was the manager and that there wasn't. I said that I would wait at the counter until she had time to assist me and she said "you can wait all you want, we close at 5.00pm and I'll kick you out then". I said that I would make a complaint to Aus Post that she wouldn't even attempt to assist me and she said "complain all you want, I don't care". Her elderly husband heard us speaking and came out to try and assist me and was much more reasonable, looking through the parcels and letters for my item while his wife muttered under her breath at me. Absolutely unbelievable. I am going to attempt to have my mail re-directed elsewhere because I want nothing to do with this business.

I have used this Post office regularly for 5-6 years and have never had an issue with sending or receiving. The owners are lovely despite what others say, I am surprised by some of these other reviews.

No issues whatsoever, not sure about all the bad reviews.

I use this place 3 to 5 times a week and send lots through them, 20 to 30 packages a week. Never had a problem, they are very helpful and to honest I prefer a small local business rather than a large impersonal Aus post office. They are very nice and always greet me with a smile and a hello.
