This place is volunteered and the customer service is out of this world. Always a smiling face with great recommendations to the hinterland walks, best places to eat, local recommendations for food, accommodation and places to see. Safety is at the forefront when giving recommendations for walks and the house’s themselves are a site to be seen. Would recommend for anyone travelling on the Gold Coast to go here first even if a information centre is local to where you are going and it’s not this one.

Painstakingly preserved details of real life in yesteryear render this house, and its neighbour, worthy of the highest heritage protection in the world. There is a strong First Nations component to the artefacts. Where are the authorities — these have been saved by the efforts of private citizens — in fulfilling their duties?
