Tina is an amazing hair dresser. She is the only 1 I go to, I also recommend her to everyone. S+S hair salon has friendly staff and amazing stylist.

I have never had a more appalling experience ever at a hair salon. I asked when I can get my hair washed, they said “right now” so I went in only to be ignored for 1 hour and 10 minutes. I would have rather appreciated for them to tell me that they will be available in an hour so I can get my shopping done rather than sitting in a chair being ignored. There were 2-3 girls that weren’t even busy and had plenty of opportunity to help me but NOPE. They need to manage their time more efficiently. They didn’t even do a good job at blow drying hair, I have been to many hair dressing shops and it is normal to be blow drying hair straight, it was very frustrating watching the lady blow dry my hair without a brush not being able to have a hair straighten finished.

I had always been to the Toowong store. Each and every time was a fantastic experience. Great people, quality and prices. Changed jobs and decided to give the Carindale store a try. What a big mistake. 1st visit, had about 4 different people work on my hair, although the colour was nice.nn2nd visit, truly the worst hairdressing experience in my 35+ years of going to salons!nnSat in my chair for 20 mins. Nobody came anywhere near me. I watched other people come into the store, be seated and their job started.nnWhen I got up to ask one of the stylists (politely!) what was going on (she was standing with her arms crossed??!!) another stylist jumped into the conversation and told me that these people i saw coming in after me were actually appointments. I pointed out that I was too and I’d been sitting there for 20 mins! Turns out that was the manager! Incredibly rude and belittling in front of said customers who arrived after I did. Then she says we are just trying to get to all the customers! Ok that would make sense!!! How about doing that!!! Miss crossed arms still with crossed arms!nnOk then some action. Crossed arms stylist comes over, I say just touch up my roots, so 10 or 12 foils. She goes away and comes back…. That will be $189!!!!! Are you for real??? I said but your package which is 12 foils, treatment, cut and dry is $129!!!! Ok let’s go with the package then. Sorry she says, our prices have actually gone up. Well actually so has my disbelief!nnOk foils out…keen to see colour……. Totally different to the last visit……and very purple. Oh that will fade says crossed arms!!!!! Sigh, I give up, who wants fading foils????nnBut in all seriousness, dreadful service, quality questionable. Manager, could do with some upskilling. Only thing that saved the day, was the lovely apprentice, who was willing, capable, friendly! I didn’t get her name, she had the lovely bright red hair! Your talents are wasted there.nnWon’t be back, and the 4 friends I’ve referred won’t be going there either.

Went to get my regrowth covered. Left with my hair in a frizzy mess. While in the bathrooms trying to fix my hair I found there were patches of visible grey roots all over my hair still. I went back and complained which was so embaressing and they were very apologetic and I was given a refund. Im used to having hairdressers not knowing how to deal with curly hair, but I've never had such a bad colour. Would not return.
