Witton creek is a small creek adjoining Moore park and adjacent to Indooroopilly state school. Its hugely popular with the students, who can be found venturing into the creek after school hours. The creek flows from the upper reaches of Mount Cootha and enters Moore Park. It is at its widest at the entrace of Moore Park. In the recent weeks we have had reports of eels being sighted in the creek along with small fishes. Presently, the banks of the creek are undergoing maintenance and restoration of vegetation. The creek floods upto 1mt during intense rains and is only 4 to 6 inches deep during other times.
