There are 2 free public viewing platforms high over Frenchman's Beach, at the end of Timbin St. Many many happy moments on these towers when whales running north , going south. Special place on Minjerribah..

Magnificent vista over shoreline & sea

There a two simple little wooden platforms to step up onto just a couple of hundred metres from the road. The path leads up from the corner of Timbin Road and Snapper street. Lovely view over Frenchman's Beach (note a lot of photos attached to this Google site are from the north gorge walk) and of course perfect to try and spot whales from (bring binoculars!)

l got to see 6 whales today what a hoot ! 2 were mother and baby .... lots of breeches, take your binoculars .... but still just as great without. And if that weren't enough we saw Mother and baby on the way home from Straddie on the Ferry. What a major blessings.
