I would recommend SCMI to anyone that needs a scan! I had to attend for an ultrasound. I was particularly nervous about this scan but from the moment I walked in to the clinic I felt at ease. The reception staff were friendly and assisted me with all of my many questions when I arrived. The staff member who assisted me with my ultrasound was very informative and made me feel very calm throughout the process. I have been to other clinics in the past and felt rushed with such short appointment times but here I felt like they actually cared about me and the service they were providing. Professional and lovely people to deal with.

I have worked in the Radiology industry in Victoria for nearly 30 years and I do work at SCMI.nI can say without any bias or prejudice that the people that work here are the most caring people I have worked with. The people that own the business are caring professional medical specialists who put patient care above profit. To suggest otherwise is totally unfounded.nI personally have been thanked many times by the people I care for in my role as a Radiographer but vary rarely if at all do these people go on Google to leave a positive review!nI am truly disappointed when people leave reviews calling into question my colleagues professionalism.nLeaving a negative review because a receptionists tells them to go see a GP or hospital emergency is sheer nonsense. It is the correct thing to do and the correct advice in pretty much every instance as the GP has a full history of a patient and can address the matter better and quicker.nTo say that receptionists are uncaring because they make such comments is a total nonsense.nI have no hesitation in recommending SCMI to all my friends and family and I do all the time because I know from behind the scenes how caring all the staff are and that they will be looked after well.

I have done FNA biopsy there.. I felt the nurse is not caring and didn't give me enough information. Straight away after procedure , ask me to go back home. My neck was swollen a lot when I arrived home, even difficult to swallow saliva. I called them and asked about my problems. The receptionist told me just to go and see gp. I am quite disappointed with this branch. People in South Morang branch are a lot better.

Coming here was the worst healthcare experience of my entire life - and I'm a cancer survivor, so I've had plenty of healthcare experiences to compare. Everyone who worked here was rude to me. I am an exchange student with a very clear un-Australian accent. I had to get a serious ultrasound done and I came in with no family or friends, clearly in distress. Everyone who worked here was apathetic to my anxiety. The receptionists were rude and got visibly irritated when I asked questions. They were so rude to me that I literally cried when I walked out of the office. I had to go get a second ultrasound done somewhere else because I wanted to make sure the people giving me my serious results actually cared about my health. Seriously I never write reviews, but this place was so awful I had to.

Please DO NOT go here if you want actual results. They’re a profit mongering institution, with no sympathy for patients who depend on their imaging services for diagnosing important issues. My pelvic ultrasound results came out with one side of my ovaries “blocked by gas.” The technician didn’t ask me to burp myself, change position, ANYTHING during the consultation. She literally was inside me, poking my ovaries with the ultrasound wand and STILL couldn’t take a good picture. My GP couldn’t make a diagnosis from the images and therefore couldn’t provide a referral to a specialized clinic to treat for PCOS. I called SCMI and even had La Trobe’s medical centre talk to them. But SCMI wouldn’t retake the ultrasound unless I paid another $125. What for?? How is this my fault?? I’m a broke grad student who spent a substantial amount of money for one result - to get pictures of my ovaries so that I don’t die of ovarian cancer or something in the future. If SCMI didn’t provide the service I paid them for, I don’t think I should have to pay them again. So that they can keep screwing up the pictures and make me take them over and over until they’ve taken all of my money? If you hired your wedding photographer and half the pictures you got came out blurry, would you pay them? Of course not! The front desk was so rude when I talked to them about this and offered no solutions other than to say it wasn’t their fault and they still had to pay for the technician’s time. Like with any job, if you don’t actually do your job, you shouldn’t get paid. At least apologize and say that they’ll retake the left ovary images or offer a discount to retake them! That’s what other imaging companies do! I will NEVER go here again even though it’s the closest place to me. I’d rather travel all the way to the city and I encourage everyone else to do the same. They’re only in it to make money and they don’t care for their patients at all.
