THIS ARCH WAS THE ENTRANCE TO OVER 200 BUILDINGS A HOME FOR RETIRED SOLDIERSnFROM THE UK.BUILT IN 1863,ITS AT THE TOP OF ST GEORGES TERRACE,YOU CAN SEE IT ON YOURnWAY TO FRASERS RESTAURANT KINGS PARK,nAND THE BOTANIC GARDENS AD TREE WALKnWHAT A DAY OUT,THE ARCH IS VERY WELL MAINTAINED,AND A REMINDER OF PAST YEARS
Some great history but not much is told about its history
Terrific opportunity to see inside the arch and see the view. Thanks to the volunteers who made it possible.
A nice place to chill out at.
Piece of historic architecture by the road. Can be reached by the Green CAT and is a short walk from the bus stop. There's also a statue at the crossing near the arch.
