I've had an ongoing legal dispute with AIA for well over twelve months and there is no end in sight! An obvious error on their part, but, AIA refuse to admit to it! Its gone to arbitration, even the arbitrator agrees with my solicitors, a glowing error on AIA's part, they still refuse to acknowledge their mistake Firmly believe AIA just want to drag things out in the hope I'll throw in the towel! Picked on the wrong little guy! Very devious organisation!

I claimed my insurance due to permanent illness and my super was being paid into my super account. These payments ceased March 2020. They have been promising to reinstate the payments it has now been 14 months and I have received nothing. I have been in contact but each time I am told it is just waiting on calculations it will be in the account next week. STILL NOTHING. WHICH only leaves one option but to take it further. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY

This company do not care about your health, disability or your financial situation whatsoever, all they are interested in is cutting your cover as much as possible. less then 30% of my income is what they covered me for.nI was dealing with the fact I will lose my home, car and everything in my life that I’ve worked for which was leaving me with major mental health issues. They simply don’t care about their customers until you involve a lawyer. Now things are looking up!nThey get 1 star and a lollipop for spelling my name correctly

I made a claim with AIA Insurance on my Sunsuper income protection insurance in December 2020. My claim was made following a workers compensation claim that was, and still is, being disputed by my employers insurer.nI found AIA staff, particularly the admin staff and my assessor, to be professional and caring. They provided excellent customer service and always actioned what they said they would within the timeframes that they said they would. Because I was struggling financially as a result of my situation this was very important to me. It helped to provide some clarity and gave me something that I could rely on.nI made a point of providing all documents requested as quickly as possible, including providing copies of my payslips. This seemed to make the process go quicker.nI do note that some of the forms that were sent to my treating medical practitioners and myself were not titled correctly, and referenced a claim for Total Permanent Disability instead of Income Protection. This created some confusion and resulted in some small delays as I followed up with AIA and treating professionals.nI am currently in receipt of regular monthly payments from AIA while I am on a return to work program.nMy advice to anyone making a income protection claim is to check in with AIA consistently and regularly, and to provide all requested information as quickly as possible.nI believe that my Income Protection policy with AIA was good value and it was easy to set up through my Sunsuper superannuation account.nMy claim took just under 2 months to be approved.

All the staff I dealt with were professional and answered all my questions. I believe my claim was complicated and it was all dealt with in a timely manner thank you AIA.
