I personally can't recommend Toni and Guy for scalp bleach. I had a nightmare appointment here and left with incredibly damaged hair.nnI had been getting scalp bleaches for several years interstate and needed to find a new hairdresser to maintain my roots in Sydney. I thought I would try this salon as their Instagram page showed some good results with blonde and they had told me over the phone and at a consultation that they had experience with scalp bleaches and felt confident that they could achieve my usual result. Unfortunately the result was a disaster... I had really terrible breakage in all different places but the worst part was breakage at the very front of my hair (I ended up having thick pieces of broken hair sticking up at the front of my head for several months), my hair was noticeably three different colours (roots, band and ends were all different) and the roots/band were very orange while the ends were a greenish-blonde.nnAt the time I expressed I wasn't happy with my hair but reluctantly handed over my credit card as I was honestly in complete shock and embarrassment at how I looked. I ended up paying approximately $600 for the result and was pressured into paying around $100 more for products as I was told the result was my hair's fault and I needed their products to fix it. I believed them at the time and bought the products... so I spent ~$700 to walk away looking and feeling horrible! I was visibly very uneasy and upset while I was paying but when the girl at the front desk asked if she could book in my next appointment, I reluctantly said yes as I was too embarrassed to reiterate how awful my hair was.nnWhen I got home and got over the initial shock about the state of my hair and the fact that I'd just spent $600-700 for the result, I called the salon and expressed again that I wasn't happy. There wasn't anything they could do to fix it given that it had just been bleached and it would be further damaged if they tried to apply more product.nnI was walking around with noticeable breakage, poor blending and green-blonde for several months - it was honestly really embarrassing and I'm still in shock that I paid $600-700 for someone to damage my hair to that extent. Several months later I remembered that I had my next appointment booked in so I called the salon to cancel it - I was told that there was no upcoming appointment booked for me. This indicates to me that they knew they had damaged my hair / that I would not be coming back and had cancelled it several months before.nnI am not really someone who leaves bad reviews but I feel this experience is important to share as the result I received should never have happened at a supposedly reputable salon and I certainly should not have been blamed for the result especially given my successful history with scalp bleaches. I also probably should have been offered a refund given the visible damage and green tinge to my hair. It goes without saying that if you pay ~$700 at the hairdressers, you would hope to walk out feeling and looking your best, not embarrassed and trying to repair the state of your hair for several months...nnI've had several appointments at a hairdresser in Darlinghurst since that time and haven't had any issues with scalp bleaches.nnIn an ideal world, the damage to my hair shouldn't have happened, but in lieu of that, I believe taking responsibility and following through with better service would have made a difference.

Anthony saved what was left of my hair (waistline long just few weeks back) and gave me an amazing cut and style. I’ve received so many compliments already as well. Looking forward to growing back my hair in his caring hands! Grateful beyond comprehension that I’ve found Anthony. Thank you!

I saw Ruby this morning for a hair cut and hydration treatment. I hadn't been to the Sydney Central Toni & Guy for a number of years, but Ruby came highly recommended. My hair feels fabulous and I am really happy with the cut. I felt really safe and relaxed in the salon. Just a great experience. Thank you!!

10/10 Would recommend. I have been going here for over a year now and it is the only place I trust to get my haircut. My stylist Ruby (who I would highly recommend) is one of the best hairdressers I have come across. She listens to what I want and gives me great advice for my hair style that is suited to my face shape. She styles my hair every time better than anything I could ever have imagined. Not to mention the staff are very welcoming and kind. I always have a lovely experience and am eager to come in and see the team. It is the only place in Sydney I will ever go to for my haircuts. HIGHLY recommend! I honestly cannot see myself ever going anywhere else again for my haircuts. Truly the best!

Had a cut with Anthony. A M A Z I N G !nIm not sure that name of the lady that washed my hair, but shes Cuban background, best head massage ive had in years!nWill def come back here!
