Great view at the top of Wallis lake and Forster-Tuncurry. But only go there in an SUV or 4WD. The dirt road to the top however is too challenging for regular sedans and hatchbacks.
Memorable drive up to the look out. Third time doing it. Will never miss during any trip to Forster or Tuncurry.nCheck with visitor centre first about track and weather condition just before doing it. Tell them your vehicle type and choose appropriate track.
***DO NOT FOLLOW GOOGLE MAPS FROM FORSTER*** it will direct you to take a closed road (Yarric Rd) which is only accessible by 4WD and has a locked gate at each end. Take Sugar Creek Rd until the lookout turnoff.nView is stunning at the top though.
Great drive to the lookout, will need 4WD or high clearance 2WD with good driving skills
Scenic view.Easy drive for 2wd and 4wd but depends on weather.Love the lookout.
