Staff individually are lovely but overall the customer service experience isn’t great. Prior to my first visit, I was told to come in whenever I wanted for a consult. Made the drive which was almost an hour round trip to Marina Mirage only to be told there were no stylists in on a Monday - I have since found out this is the case every week (they have a receptionist but no stylists on Mondays) so I would have thought this would be kind of important to pass on to a potential new customer coming in. I learned after this that there was also a salon in Bundall which is much closer to me, so made the switch to Bundall. I was quoted $380-$420, and ended up paying $470 (I understand it’s a quote only but something to be aware of). The second appointment i tried to line up with an event I had at the end of the week, so could they let me know if there were any cancellations so I could move my appointment from Tuesday to Friday. I was told the salon was closed on Sunday and Monday, but that if I called on Tuesday morning somebody may have cancelled later in the week so I could swap my appointment to then. I sent a text on Monday and received no response, and then when I called on Tuesday morning was told that it was too last minute, and that I should have contacted them yesterday because now if I wanted to make a change I would lose my $50 deposit (in a tone that was like I had done something wrong even though the whole situation had been discussed the week before). I had in fact sent a text the day before, but my text was left unanswered. The person I spoke to told me that although the salon was closed, the phone line was still monitored so I should have called over the weekend(like I said I did text) - So staff seem to be on a different page about trading hours. I went to my appointment at the allocated time, and after already being in the chair for 10 minutes received a call from the salon to ask why I wasn’t at my appointment. The call was also coming from a number that I was told was their automated number only (the one that sends the auto reminder texts). I had text this number 2 weeks prior to try and get another appointment, and was told by the same person on the phone that it was the automated one therefore that’s why I hadn’t gotten a response, but then I was being called by that number? During the appointment I was told I needed to stop using my purple shampoo right away because it wasn’t good for my hair and was making it too dry and damaged, even though i was only using it once a week and it was the shampoo I was given to purchase in my first appointment by the stylist. I was then given the sales pitch about the custom toner which seems good, but firstly, why not just give me that the first time, and secondly, the way it was done just seemed like I would be sold a different product every time. The appointment ended up being $460, so almost the same price as the first appointment with no product included like the first one, even though I asked for the exact same service. The first thing one of my friends said when I showed her my hair was that it “looked over toned but would wash out eventually and be fine” which really isn’t great considering the price and calibre of the salon. After washing my hair for the first time it was noticeably more damaged than the first time, to the point where I couldn’t brush it or tie it up because it was so knotted. Its also been nearly 3 weeks and I have asked 3 separate times for my before and after photos from the second appointment and I still haven't received them. I guess overall the point I’m trying to get at is that there seems to be great inconsistencies between staff in the Bundall salon and between both salons, and many little inconsistencies that overall mean the level of customer service you would expect isn’t really being met. As I said in the beginning, staff individually are super nice, but all of the little things combined create for an experience that makes me think I’ll probably try another salon next time.

Really bad customer service and not very friendly. Had been coming here for nearly a year, and constantly discussed my next colour change with my stylist. When I contacted them to book in this colour change they said I had to come in for a consult. I advised the above info (hair discussed multiple times) and they said I still had to come in. I live an hour away and this is difficult for a 10min consult, which I also advised, and they just stopped responding to my messages. Changed salons and I’m much happier at new salon, and with much friendlier staff.

First time coming here and honestly I am so so sooooo happy with my hair! Cassie is AMAZING! so down to earth and listened to everything I wanted and nailed the colour. I have wanted a clean blonde for so long and for the first time ever I have the look I’ve always wanted! Thanks so much Cassie!! Wish I could come back next week ud83eudd2d

Service wasn’t great and they kept complaining to themselves about the length of my hair. It felt rushed and the results weren’t overly great for the price I paid. Unless you’re already blonde I don’t think this hair salon is for you.
