Boyne Tannum HookUp

Hookup is a great event. Keep it going!nWe are not big fishermen, but it's a great event. Very exciting to see all the fish. Lots of activities.nLive music and entertainment was great fun. Having the courtesy bus was excellent.nI'd suggest better food truck options as the food was a bit limited mostly deep fried stuff.nPrevious years there was tables and chairs set up and this was good, disappointed that we had to bring our own chairs to sit at to eat. But overall a great event in spite of the rain.

I know this committee would have done a lot of work before this weekend. And I applaud them for that.nbut as a local that has been in every hookup except 2 because my son had cancer this is by far the worst hookup ever.nBy changing it to you have to weigh in a fish to be able to win the major prize you have destroyed this competition.nI have noticed attendance crowds have been down drastically in both locations and after talking to food and drink vendors most will probably not come back and as I usually volunteer for a local vendor/ community service at the hookup this has been devastating for themnToday Sunday we had the Boyne river so crowded you needed traffic lights and not many people were catching a fish big enough to weigh in.nnso I fear the present committee has destroyed a great event that bought in a lot of money for the community like the old saying goes if it ain’t broke don’t fix it .
