Every now and again in life you come across someone who just completely bucks the paradigm; a person who is so far removed from the stereotypes that wrap up their industry that they instantly renew your faith in humanity (or at least their professional portion of it).nnAndrew, I am happy to say is most definitely one of those people. I had a professional relationship with him around the selling of my townhouse for a period of around 2 years….. Which might strike you as an unusually long period of time to sell a house (and it is).nThe market was not in a good place to sell when I first approached Andrew and after we made the initial overtures and had started the ball rolling he called me one day and advised not going ahead with putting the house on the market. A real estate agent who tells you NOT to sell? Who is this man? What’s the game? Turns out, he’s a moral and ethical real estate agent (so you can see why I was skeptical early on….as they don’t exist….. or so I thought).nnOver the next 16 months we kept in touch with occasional calls and messages to discuss the state of the market and whether the time was right to sell. We bit the bullet and went for it when Andrew judged that the market and conditions were in the right place to move ahead. He turned up for three working bees (in his footy shorts no less), spreading mulch, trimming hedges, scrubbing pavers and then would drop the tools, put a suit on and become the urbane real estate agent showing prospective buyers around and answering questions. He also orchestrated a fairly large make over prior to having the first open house; contacting trades, arranging access, chasing people up – he did it all.nnThis house was an investment property for me and to be honest, I was dreading selling it; I’d never sold a house before and I hadn’t had the best luck with this property to begin with. Andrew turned what could have been an intensely stressful period of my life into something that was as easy as he could possible make it for me. We ended up selling above my expectations in a whirlwind time of just under two weeks. If you’re thinking of selling, buying or doing ANYTHING to do with property, Andrew is the real estate agent for you; put simply, the man is GOOD.
Andrew is an honest, generous and hard working professional and a rare find in this day and age. His commitment to his role and his attention to detail instills great confidence. Andrew is a straight shooter and someone who I trust and would have no hesitation in recommending to others. Thanks Andrew for all you have done and continue to do.
