Touring the house was really interesting. The restoration has been very well done. The tour conducted by Les the owner gave a lot of additional insights into the Mary Poppins story. Worth the visit.nnWillem and Gail

Beautifully restored old bank and residence circa late 1800's - now also a private home

I had no idea of this place - just driving through Allora and found it by accident. Really lovely experince. The owners/hosts were charming and admission, guided tour, tea and biscuits and a plate of grapes from the 150 year old vive was great value for $10 . Truly lovely old house with mellow red cedar interior and appropriate decor - not overdone. It came over as a living home more than a musuem and all the better for that. Go see it !
