Hobsons Bay Endoscopy Centre

Posting this while waiting for my procedure so this could be dangerous if doc reads... I have been sitting here for one hour and 15 mins so far and all we have done is checked a few things on my paperwork and given me a white gown to put on. I noticed a 10 year achievement award proudly displayed on entry so I would of expected that this process might be nailed down by now. Why ask me here for 9am when it getting to 10:30? Giving the process 1 star, giving an extra star due to very nice, smiley and friendly receptionst.

Before I write this review - I want to open up by saying that this is not a review reflecting on my experience there; but rather my experience trying to book an appointment. For all I know, the staff at the clinic are amazing. But I write this in the belief that something must be done with their reception service.nnI have been a long suffering a medical condition to which my doctor had referred me to get an endoscopy procedure as a way to rule out possible serious health conditions.nnHe had recommended this place to me, so I was desperate to try and book an appointment to find out what was wrong. Unfortunately, every time I called, I was put on hold by a woman who rudely spoke to me. I tried calling multiple times because I urgently wanted an appointment to deal with my chronic condition. The first time, she put me on hold for nearly an hour and then just hung up. The second and third time she put me on hold and then just hung up immediately as I was waiting.nnAnd then the last time she put me on hold for 25 minutes and then hung up.nnWhen I had finally gotten hold of her, I had to rapidly say I needed an urgent appointment getting an endoscopy and it was only then she put me on hold again, made me wait a long time and then bothered to speak to me. And when she spoke to me, she spoke so rudely. I tried to explain that I had other medical appointments to attend to and I could not attend the dates that she offered but she spoke to me with such callousness, insensitivity and coldness, I ended up booking with another Endoscopy Centre. She spoke with such carelessness for my predicament and my struggles, I really hope others do not have to endure the pain and sadness I felt when just trying to book an appointment and dealing with a chronic medical condition..nnI was tempted to reveal her name, but I really hope that the clinic would see this and contact me to discuss further this issue. I am extremely disappointed and I hope that they do not treat people with debilitating illness like this casually.
