I recently had an operation for a kidney stone removal and was operated on by Dr. Shekib.nnI had an amazingly breezy experience for my first ever surgery due to the outstanding communication, professionalism and guidance from Dr. Shekib and his team at the Melbourne Urology Centre.nnI would HIGHLY recommend this practice to those in need of it!

I would like to thank Mr. Shekib Shahbaz and his team for everything that they have done. He is a brilliant surgeon who articulated everything in a very simple way to explain me my reports and the condition. He provided all the details in a step by step process and explained how it will be done and why it would be required. Because of his caring nature I felt very reassured about my first procedure. After the procedure he took the time to explain all the findings and suggested the best options. He has a fantastic ability to put you at ease with his supportive nature. Because of which I felt very relaxed, comfortable and confident going into my final surgery.nnJust like him, everyone in his team are also absolutely amazing. From the very first appointment everyone has been absolutely fantastic.nnI would like to thank Sue who not only answered all my queries from time to time but also came to visit me at the hospital after my surgery. I am very grateful that she took the time to come and see me even though she had a busy work schedule. Sue has provided me with all the support from the very first appointment by reassuring me that I was able to contact her anytime even during the Christmas holidays if I needed any help or was concerned about anything during my recovery. Sue was very prompt in replying to all my emails especially all my medical certificates that I needed for work.nnI would like to thank Vivien for everything that she has done especially all the phone calls, text messages and all the emails to constantly maintain the communication about scheduling appointments and follow up reports not just throughout my treatment but even after that in spite of a busy work schedule.nnOnce again I would like to specially thank Mr. Shahbaz as I very grateful and sincerely appreciate his compassionate approach full of genuine care and concern which was very evident throughout my entire treatment. His regular follow ups throughout my post-operative tests at the hospital were a strong support for me during that time. His constant positive reassurance was remarkable especially since it was a very busy time and he had a hectic work schedule during Christmas. I can’t thank him enough for everything he has done and for always being there. I'm a 61 year old man and I was diagnosed with RCC (renal cell carcinoma) in 2019. I was referred to see Dr Shekib Shahbaz at Melbourne Urology (Mulgrave rooms). He has extensive knowledge on my condition and was able to explain in a way that I could understand. I was very concerned and wanted surgery immediately to remove the whole kidney as I have an extensive history with other members of my family dealing with cancer, however, Dr Shahbaz explained to me in a caring and very understanding way that he would like to do an MRI (as he wanted to be 100% sure that it did need removing) and then to present hisnfindings to his professional team as he didn't want to remove the whole kidney if it wasn't necessary. Dr Shahbaz came back to me and was very confident in his findings that my case had an excellent prognosis. I was very persistent to get my whole kidney removed and I actually upset Dr Shahbaz with my persistence to remove the whole kidney (my apologies Dr Shahbaz) however, Dr Shahbaz was very professional, adamant and calmed me down because removing the whole kidney was not the best option as my tumour was only 3cm and he was confident he could remove only the tumour and I would still have two fully functioning kidneys. I had my surgery on the 25th of November 2019, which ended up being a partial nephrectomy, as was originally planned by Dr Shahbaz who removed the whole tumour with good margins and I'm now cancer free. I had my follow up appointment with Dr Shahbaz on the 14th of January, with everything being great in regards to my initial diagnosis. In my opinion, Dr Shahbaz is very professional and I would not hesitate to recommend, Dr Shekib Shahbaz to anyone with urology problems.nnI was a very persistent and negative patient, due to my wife and daughter going through cancer treatment, however, Dr Shahbaz persisted and I am very grateful for his professionalism and that he stuck with me and saw me through my entire diagnosis.nnThank you, Dr Shekib and all staff at Melbourne Urology who helped me throughout my ordeal as well :)

I recently had the REZUM treatment under Tony de Sousa and couldn't be happier with both the results and the quality of care received from the Clinic. I found Tony to be excellent with a kind and caring nature and a wealth of experience. He explained in detail the procedure and was very clear about outcomes, expectations etc. I felt completely comfortable with him as my surgeon. The whole process from enquiry to post surgery follow up has been excellent and I can't speak highly enough of both the centre and the staff both medical and support staff who were prompt and always helpful. I recently had to undergo a complete nephrectomy due to a rather large nasty Tumour. With the air of confidence and capability that Dr Shahbaz has and the care and concern he shows towards his patients made for a worrying procedure all that more easy for not only myself but also my wife and family..I cannot say how grateful I am to a very professional man and his wonderful and helpful staff..
