I'm new to golf with 5 rounds of 9 under the belt. Receiving coaching with Phil at Marangaroo and played the last two rounds also at Marangaroo. Great facilities all well maintained and love the kangaroos on the course, just after sunrise, making the great setting even better.
I have to give you guys a bit of credit first, your golf course is in very good condition for a municipal golf course. The greens were very nice yesterday. Myself and a friend booked a two ball and although you didn’t mention it at all I assumed we’d be paired up with another couple as it was so busy, which is fine we expected it. Unfortunately it’s common practise now at public courses but the two lads we were paired with were half our age. They had one set of clubs that they shared. Neither of them wore golf shoes and one of the lads was in jeans and a tee shirt. The one in jeans said it was his first time on a golf course and it was obvious. I think he got one ball of the tee in the entire round. They were on their phones the whole way round and it took. 2 hours 40 mins to complete the 9 holes. There lack of etiquette and golf knowledge meant they were walking all over my putting line and putting out on every green whether it was their turn or not. The lads were polite enough and realised they were slowing us down. I understand you have to make money but you really need to marshal the course. For two kids to be sharing one set of clubs is unacceptable at any golf course public or not. Be more vigilant and picky about things like etiquette and dress standards. You don’t have to be private to keep in top of these things.
A very reasonable course, well priced rounds, a fair amount of relief in the rough when ypu can't make the fairway, lots of Kangaroos lounging around watching us hack our way around well over Par and ready for a cold beer! Don't expect championship greens and you won't be disappointed.
Outstanding condition. Congrats to all the staff.nLush green fairways, quality greens, excellent elevation changes. Big driving range
