MacCabe Park

It was horrible with teenagers taking over the children's playground equipment. One old man was sitting at a table talking to himself and drinking beer out of a bottle. Two homeless people were curled up on the ground. It was too confronting to stay there with my grandchildren at 6pm. This place needs to be patrolled and kept safe for children to enjoy the playground equipment provided for them.

We are new to Wollongong moved here from Melbourne first time here at this park it's not much of a park looks like it's been neglected. Came with the kids today not much to do around the park ,not family friendly expected more for Wollongong main city park. We were the only ones there today around lunch time surprised .Guess the locals know its a poor excuse for a park .the council really should do more to make this into the premier city park it deserves to be for families especially families with children

Nice clean park with somewhere for the kids to play

Who ever the gardeners are at Wollongong council a bit of imagination goes a long way .this park is so disappointing nothing there is nothing for the kids to do no colour no sections of gardens .i would expect a rose garden section a maze for kids to play in .lots more colour. It's just so plain and dull .why is there no water feature like a centrepiece water fountain just look at Hyde park in Sydney for ideas .Gum trees that's it
