Boatshed

Truly not worth the hype. After returning some produce that was mouldy (only discovered when we got home) I was treated like a nuisance and was met with a blank stare when I let them know that there was still a large amount of mouldy produce still on display. The coffee is great and the pastries & fresh made meals are good, but it doesn't make up for the fact that they often treat customers very poorly.

This is all about the hype and the style - Biggest rip off in town, you come here to pay three times as much for something you can get at Coles, like a can of beans same brand, same size. Fruit and Veg is mainly the same stuff as major supermarkets just looks pretty, and triple to price. Bought meat here once, a Lamb Shank, I thought the premium price would mean good quality but it was ordinary to say the least. Got some cut meat at the deli once, never again it was off a day later. Come here to be seen not for the the shopping.

why would people shop here? not really a boutique groceries shop and not even unique or fancy too. most of the stuff sold there shoppers can find them elsewhere CHEAPER, and i mean on any random days. not worth the trip and your $$$

I am customer for over 15 years now, always enjoyed quality of the market however I will be avoiding butcher from now, It seem these guys don’t care any more about customers as they are established, always liked the quality in this shop however if you don’t pay attention, you paying many times over in the butcher for a piece of meat that is average at best. Make sure you always check your meat before you pay, There is this guy who is overweight... you won’t miss him, he is worse, he might smile and pretend he cares but he could be serving you something that no one else wants, avoid him if you can. I personally come to Boatshed because I assume not like any other shops you get quality however it seems this is not the case anymore with the butcher, Other part of the market us absolutely fine and I will always shop from them however I will be avoiding butcher from now, I will be trying Torres and few others who are less expensive and you don’t need to be worried that you will be shafted if you don’t pay attention, It is a shame to see that from Boatshed,

I ADORE THE BOATSHED! The Boatshed is without a doubt the best in the business when it comes to produce and meat! The quality of everything is exceptional and the flowers are stunning. However, the parking outside is tight, but totally worth it to experience all the Boatshed has to offer.
