Mr. Malone himself is a very good surgeon although he lacks bedside manner (which is not unusual but nonetheless is not okay). He has helped my husband in the past and has performed revolutionary back surgery which gave him a new lease on life. The ladies working at his office in West Perth however are a different story. Snobby, stuck up, arrogant and unhelpful are just a few words that come to mind. Whenever I have called them to ask for information they treat you like a major inconvenience, someone that interrupts their day. They are not at all helpful or forthcoming with information that is needed and need to pull their head in quite frankly.

Dr Malone operated on my lower spine ( lumbar L4/5) in 2013. His care, compassion and professionalism left me in no doubt I was in the very best of care. Highly recommend him.

This man is a life-changer! He walks on water! I endured back pain for several years & no doctor, physio or chiro could figure out what it was. Hundreds of dollars & wasted time later, a new physio (one of many I saw!) eventually referred me to neurosurgeon Quentin Malone for assessment. I went to see him in 2008 & he diagnosed my condition as "Lumbar Spinal Stenosis". This is apparently an incredibly common but frequently misdiagnosed condition in people of a 'certain age' - as the spine deteriorates, it often loses its stability. So as you move, the inside of the spinal 'core' changes in circumference & pinches the nerves running through it. The resulting pain can turn up pretty much anywhere & is often worse when you're laying down (which is what confused all the above mentioned 'back experts'). After extensive tests, Dr Malone recommended inserting two 'clips' in my lower back to stabilize my spine. After a 6-8 week recovery period (during which I did ALL my rehabilitative exercises faithfully- very important) I was finally pain-free with a high level of movement, mobility & flexibility! Miracle-worker stuff, seriously. Ten plus years later I am still pain free & jumping for joy. Thank you Dr Malone!! This review is long overdue!

Malone performed surgery on me a few years ago and i found him to be very arrogant and up himself. His bed side manners are poor and has a big ego. After being discharged from hospital i was in a lot of pain and could not get of bed. He gave me his business card with his mobile number but did not return any of my messages when i was telling him that i was in pain and could not get out of bed. This went on for a week with me also leaving messages at his room and was evetually told by one of the ladies to call an ambulance and go to hospital. When Malone saw me he was very annoyed that i had tried to contact him and that i had called an ambulance. I am now in pain again with the same symptoms prior to surgey bur have gone to another surgeon. I would suggest you google his name to see what action was taken against him by the Australian Medical Board before you decide if this is the surgeon for you Not sure why he is still allowed to practice
