Like other reviewers have mentioned, this was my first time at this salon and I looked at the website before my appointment to calculate the price. After I got a 1/2 head of foils and a cut (with no treatments, no products purchased, no toner, literally nothing else but a 1/2 head foils and a cut) the stylist tried charging me close to $500. I queried the price and it was brought down to an amount that was still well over what I thought I would pay given the prices listed on the website. It was also way higher than what I have historically paid for this service at other salons.nnThe outcome was absolutely not worth the price charged at all. If anyone plans to use this salon for the first time I highly recommend going in for a consultation first to work out the actual final cost. In any case, they still way over-charge for the service they provide and you'll get better value for your money elsewhere.nnHi Owner, thank you for your reply to my review that I left a week ago. In terms of my name; I have purposely changed it in this review for the very reason that you don’t seem to “welcome” any negative feedback. While I want my review to remain anonymous, I can assure you that I did attend your salon. I would also strongly recommend that you take negative feedback as constructive criticism.nnWith specific reference to your reply, I would like to point out that I have in the past gone to pricier hair salons. The key difference between your salon and my past experiences is price transparency. If I were the owner of this business and I received multiple reviews citing poor price transparency, I would be seriously reconsidering how I present pricing information on my website. Just some food for thought.

I highly recommend Sessions Hairdressing! My cut and colour was the perfect pick-me-up. The salon itself had a really cool, relaxed vibe. I loved that the staff don’t just care about social issues like environmentalism, they actually do the work of stocking sustainable products.

Went to Sessions feeling a bit anxious as I had been going to the same hairdresser 30 years! Joel was very patient with me, at no time did I feel hurried and he explained hair colour and the processing of it and between the two of us worked out what may work for me. The outcome was great, I look different by embracing my grey a little but not too much and a younger looking fringe. My husband said 'wow' when I came in the door and after a while commented on how much younger I looked, weird when I am more grey but happy with that comment!

I had a nice experience here however I used the website to generate a quote for my service and then was quoted significantly higher upon my visit to the salon. Which prompted me to need to request lesser services due to pricing and my budget. Then even at checkout the lady told me she had accidentally given the wrong quote and tried to pressure me to pay more. When it was clear I wanted to stick to the original agreement she told me just to keep it between herself and i, as though I had broken the rules. It was a nice experience but I think they may take advantage of customers.
