The Carriages Boutique Hotel & Vineyard

Do not recommend staying here if you are a part of a bridal party/large group.nnMy family and I stayed here for my wedding next door. Extremely disappointed with our entire experience. There was a miss-communication with our room allocations which was handled very poorly and unprofessionally. We were approached on the balcony by the owners in an overly aggressive and rude manor which could have otherwise be handled in an entirely different and professional manor.nnNo hot water in our cottage the first night and the cleaners came into our room 30min before our checkout time. No privacy, the owners came over various times throughout our stay including their dog walking around the kitchen whilst my bridal party ate and got ready. I left in tears and extremely upset to what should otherwise be a happy day as a newly married couple.

Really enjoyed our night. Beautiful area, lovely and clean room with a nice veranda. Very cozy. Definitely will stay again.

Our first trip to the Hunter could not have been more sublime as we were lucky enough to book in at The Carriages in their cottage.nIdeally situated close to all the good stuff - wineries, breweries, restaurants, shops etc - it is not just a great place to stay, but a perfect place to settle in, unwind and soak up the serenity. Picturesque walks around the vineyard in the morning, followed by a freshly prepared basket of breakfast goodies delivered to our door. In the evening, a glass (or two) of top notch Carriages Shiraz by a roaring fire. If that’s not the perfect way to start and end a day, well I don’t know what is.nWe will definitely be back to the Hunter - and will definitely be staying at The Carriages!

Fantastic accommodation. We stayed in room 7 and it was delightful. Super comfortable bed, stylish room, crisp white bedding and a cozy open fire. Continental breakfast is nice. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the Guest House for 3 Nights and I could not speak highly enough of the hospitality shown by Alastair & Nerina. The rooms were spacious and clean and had everything you needed. The breakfast basket left every morning outside your room was delicious. Private wine tasting of their boutique wines on the balcony was amazing. The Carriages are in walking distance to lots of beautiful restaurants and cellar doors. I will be returning to stay again and would highly recommend The Carriages on your next visit to the Hunter.
