That Good Hair Place - Hornsby Hair Salon

I had a pretty negative experience of this place. Several experiences, actually. It was mostly to do with management and customer care. I turned up to my colour appointment to discover that the colourist I had consulted with had left and I was with a different person. No courtesy call to let me know in advance. Okay. But then...it happened again! The colourist I had used left and I was passed over to a third person. So the high turnover was a red flag. But I gave them the benefit of the doubt. But when I left my appointment, I really hated what had been done. I was almost black when I’d wanted a medium brown. When I received an email asking for feedback, I wrote that I was really unhappy with my colour. And here’s the real clincher for me: did I hear a peep from the people who had actually asked me for feedback? CRICKETS. Nothing. When my next appointment was confirmed, they told me they had me down for a cut, not colour. Seriously?? The whole point of my 6 week later app was to touch up the colour! They said they didn’t have time for a colour appointment. I thought, forget this. These guys are messy. When they asked why I didn’t want to rebook, I told them I’d already given feedback WEEKS ago and it was ignored. The girl said she’d follow it up with management. That was almost two weeks ago. Haven’t heard a thing. I absolutely did not feel valued as a customer, and all it would have taken was the professionalism and courtesy to respond to the feedback they ASKED FOR. I think there’s some major management issues and there were several missed opportunities for TGHP to make amends. I offered feedback offline, it’s not my thing to take down a small business. But when it’s ignored several times, when there’s no effort to make things right, that just feels really slovenly and poor form.

I am so grateful to have found That Good Hair Place.nnIt's difficult to find a curly-hair extraordinaire in the area, and these guys are nailing it.nnI was lucky enough to be a model for their curly hair training and it was so cool to see Leah training her staff like a pro, with baby in tow.nnIt inspired me so much and I felt at home here, which I usually don't which is why I never go to the hairdressers, but this team isn't like the norm.nnThis team goes above and beyond.nnThank you for being so cool!

I spent most of the day here getting pampered and my hair getting the love it deserved. The staff were absolutely lovely, talented and passionate about hair. Many laughs had and walked out feeling like a million bucks, a great cut and bayalage by the gang. Would not hesitate to recommend them, and will definately be back. Thanks so much guys. X
