When we moved to Killara, Chris’ delightful little shop was one of the first places we visited. He was at once friendly, helpful without being pushy, and while his knowledge is vast and extensive, never descends into snobbery. If you want a $20 quaffer he’s just as attentive as if you’re there for the $100 premium. He will do wonderful and interesting cases for you. This is the BEST little wine shop in Sydney - worth travelling for. Chris backs smaller and independent producers - which is why his shelves look (and taste) so different.

Maestro is the best around.and I am thankful for the recommendations provided by Chris who is passionate and provides wonderful service.nChris really knows his stuff and has personally delivered when I have been unable to get to the store. I won't go anywhere else and look forward to tasting wines from a variety of regions here and overseas thanks to the wonderful array on offer. Don't go anywhere else!

Fabulous atmosphere, excellent advice! The choice of wines is huge, wide range of tastes, wide range of prices, all quality.

L Maestro really is an amazing independent wine store, thankfully not filled with main stream mass produced wines. Chris has such an extensive knowledge and passion which is really refreshing. Regardless of price, all of the wines he has recommended we have thoroughly enjoyed.
