Purchased a violin, bow and case from the Sydney String Centre today. It was such a great experience! Lou was really patient and knowledgable! Amazing service! My son's cello was broken and need a replacement. Before my visit, Libby through emails had provided me enough information to help me understand the range of the product.nnIn the store, several cellos had been well prepared. My son could not come to the store as he had to attend another event. What a surprise that I had great experience with Lou Ortiz.nnHe explained about each of the cellos in a very detail manner. Lou played each of the cello for me to see the differences. He patiently described, compared and helped me in making the right choice for the cello, the bow and the case. I recorded the sound of the cellos, I took photo of several cello cases for my son to choose. Yes, we made it.nnMy son is extremely happy with the choice guided by Lou. Thanks Lou, also Libby for the great experience you have crafted for your customer.

If I can give 6 star's rating, I will give it.nnI am 100% satisfied with the passionate they got. My violin had a dull and mellow sound which bothered my practice because I want to hear the pitch clearly. The ladies at reception were really friendly, they introduced to me the strings I can chose from with a sound graph of different string sets. And they really trying to help out even with the cost range of strings that I can chose from. The strings I have put on are wonderful, they got that loud, bright, focused tone, and it blended perfectly with the mellowness and warmth my violin offers. Turns out it gives me the feeling that I m playing a really expensive master set violin though my violin is just a biginner's violin. I mean...really, I am astonished by how good my violin cold be with their advice. And they even gave me a membership to make all these amazing changes less than 120 dollars.nnI definitely recommend them.

Anna was very helpful and assisted me with finding the right violin case.nDavid is a masterful restorer with an amazing team who have years or experience and great advice. It is such a beautiful centre. A feast for the ears and eyes!... and, being purpose built, you know your instrument is in expert hands.
