I’ve been buying components from here since Dulcie ran the counter in their small shopfront in Ashfield. She was never renowned for her customer service, but I couldn’t argue the range and prices.nnThirty-odd years and two moves later, their range is even larger (read as “huge”) and their pricing still excellent compared to the other electronics retailers. It seems to be rare that they don’t have what I’m after in stock.nnTheir customer service has improved as well, but if anything they might be trying to do too much these days. If you shop in person on the weekend, you might find that the person in front of you is trying to source a replacement transformer for their rare 1950’s model train set. The staff will take the time to help them out, only to find that they then have to explain how plugs work. And wires. And model trains. Frustration all round, I’m sure.nnPro tip: Avoid shopping in person on the weekend.nnBut if you know what you need, order it on the web, wait for the text message, get in and get out. Quick and easy.
