Absolutely impressive group of people who shine with passion for what they do. They supply magnificent pianos, restored from all sorts of states, applying meticulous skill and providing a warm and generous service of excellent value, customised to suit you. I am so glad that I found them and we are so happy to have our gorgeous rescue piano now in our family.

My piano hadn’t been tuned ~20 years and barely played in that time. Mathias’ deep love of pianos (which is infectiousud83dude0c) and great tuning has led me to play everyday since!nI also appreciated his skill in tuning to proper concert pitch using state of the art technology as well as his ear, and the way he explained what he was doing through the process.nHighly recommended!

TL;DR – I cannot recommend these people highly enough. Adaptable, efficient, professional, and completely turned around what was a very stressful situation.nLet me tell you a story. I’m a uni student living in Canberra, and I’ve recently gone home to QLD to visit family over the Christmas and New Year break. Before going home for the holidays, I moved from my shared apartment into a smaller apartment by myself. Everything was going really well, I’ve got my new apartment all set up, the new lease is signed, I’m ready to go. Except the couch in my old apartment is still there. Why? Because that thing is HEAVY and the removalists I hired to transport my bed, fridge, other furniture to the new apartment were unable to get it through the door. So it’s just sitting there in the old apartment and I’ve got to be out of there by January 5th. I’m stressed out of my mind because I’m in QLD and I can’t afford to just fly back to Canberra (this is also the year of COVID) to try and hire a ute and get it out myself. I’m also just one average-sized girl so even if I could fly back, how am I supposed to get it out of the door when professional removalists can’t?nSo I’m in QLD frantically calling as many removalists as I can, trying to find someone who might be willing to take on the task of getting this massive couch out my apartment door and dropping it off at Salvos for me. Most removalists are saying they’re either a) booked out until mid-January, or b) unable to move a single item of furniture. My dad suggests I try calling a piano mover, because they move bulky and delicate items all the time. Out of sheer desperation I call The Piano Rescuers. As I’m calling them, I take a look at their facebook page and realise that they rescue and tune old pianos. This doesn’t sound like the kind of job they would be interested in so I hang up before they can answer the phone.nTwo minutes later I get a text, asking about a missed call. I text back and say I called them by accident and I was looking for someone to move my couch for me. They ask me if I found someone. I say no, give them a call, and explain my predicament. Mathias from The Piano Rescuers says he can help me out, and better yet he can do it THIS MORNING. I’m not in Canberra so I tell him I need to make sure I can get someone to open the door for him. He says no worries, let him know what time would suit.nI find someone to get the door unlocked for me. Next thing I know, Mathias is on his way to my apartment with his friend and a truck. About half an hour later I get a text. The couch is out of my apartment, and there’s photo evidence. They’re taking it to Salvos for me. My nightmare is over. This couch is out of my apartment and finally out of my life. I have been stressing about this couch for weeks and finally it’s gone, and I didn’t even have to be in the same state while it was all happening. It was all taken care of by the Piano Rescuers, who don’t even traditionally DO couches. They went out of their way to help me out and let me tell you I have never been more relieved in my life. These guys will get the job done for you. 10/10 recommend. I can’t believe how quickly they got it done and how willing they were to help me out with something a little more unconventional. They’re genuinely nice people who are so professional and so willing to take on a challenge. I am truly grateful and can finally get a good night’s sleep knowing my couch issue has been taken care of.
