So, trying to keep the long story short, I had booked an experience with Backpackers for June 2020, and I asked for a refund on the 24th of April. They agreed to refund me 80% of the original value paid, and I accepted it on the 6th of May. Seems good, right? Afterwards, they gave me a 12 week period where my payment should be reimbursed. At that point, I asked why would a reimbursement take so long, since they didn't even book any of my experiences, and I kindly asked for the receipts. They replied to me in an auto-reply saying it just increased to 16 weeks. So far, they haven't provided any proof of having actually purchased anything on my behalf. I don't think this is correct. A company shouldn't use your money to pay other customers. Also, why are they charging me 20% out of what I paid, if they are providing such a poor customer service?

The service provided during the Covid-19 is awful!!! I have sent more than 10 emails and I got no answer back!!!!!!!!!!! I was really happy before this situation, but right now I am nothing but angry and disappointed

Same problem as all customers during the COVID are having. Me and my friends booked a trip with them, but they cancelled the booking due to the quarantine. We asked the refund on the beginning of April. They are not just charging us 20% fee for asking the refund but also I haven't received anything since April. 5 months already and everything we have is an automatic email saying that they don't know when the money will be refunded.

I highly recommend contacting the agency before scheduling a trip. They bring important tips, fair prices and always very excited to help their customers. Many thanks to the whole team especially for Eduardo who helped with everything that I needed.
