HOTA, Home of the Arts

My grandson and I visited the new Gallery . We started at the children’s gallery and made some art which was fun. We then meandered our way around the gallery. I loved the different sculptures and some of the artworks were outstanding, others not my cup of tea. Overall a great day out and well worth a visit. Both my grandson and I really enjoyed our visit.

It was such a great place to go.In the original building there is rooms for shows,exhibitions and a cinema for for art films/international movies.nIn the new building there is a children's area that is interactive,multiple levels of art exhibitions and a restaurant and a cocktail/tapas bar upstairs.There was a decent amount of parking and you can walk there from surfers. There is also an outdoor stage and lots of grass space for picnics. Best part is that it's free! ud83dude01

Had a great time there visiting the different galleries. The view from the top floor was absolutely spectacular, looking over all of the Gold Coast. The restaurant up there was also amazing, same views with delicious food. Didn't know that there were also cinemas in the complex, much more there than I expected. Will definitely be going back!

Visited the new gallery. A impressive building with a bar on the top floor with outdoor seating and a good view of the skyline. Some of the artworks were a bit weird even for a modern art gallery. We could spend the money on some local artists I have seen for a broader range and appeal.

Very pleasant way to spend a morning. Loved the open air rooftop bar and cafe.nA little more seating would have been preferable around the galleries/lobby.nOverall a diverse experience. Thanks.
