Rudd Park used to be a sports field. Before the artificial mole hills were put there people played football, and during school Christmas holidays the football field was converted to unpowered sites for caravans and tents. It was a joyful place.nNow Rudd Park is useless for sports (footy, cricket, etc), useless for flying kites, useless for camping, and next-to-useless for daytrippers as it has zero shade for picnicking, nor does it have public toilets (better to go over the road to the beach foreshore which has picnic shelters, public toilets, sea breeze & better views).

Perfect little stop to see a wicked view of the Goldie from Burleigh Heads.nnA few public toilets (clean and well maintained), bbq’s, sink w/instant boiling water, and picnic tables.nnWe whipped up lunch during our road trip from Sydney to cairns.
