Absolutely brilliant. Myself and some friends now dive nearby and clean rubbish out so we care for country. This place has significance and education holds the key to being part of the land again.
Through the organisation that I work for, we were offered the opportunity of a guided walk through Jellurgal Headland to learn a little about the Kombumerri culture as part of NAIDOC week. Also saw stingrays, kookaburras, and white bellied sea eagles during the walk. Definitely recommended.
I love to read about the Aboriginal history of the areas I vistit. It's sometimes hard to understand, because of my very different Scandinavian backrground. I really enjoy the Dreamtime stories. Artworks on display ud83dudc4dFriendly staff ud83dude03
Well worth your time to stop in.
Nice walk with calm people. 1.7km. Beautiful views of the coastline to the south.
