Hervey Bay Historical Village & Museum

What a wonderful experience. This place is huge. Big storyboards explaining historical events. Everything was so interesting. It kept us amused for 2.5 hours and came away with a wealth of information about the history of Hervey Bay and surrounds.nSo much nostalgia and lots of familiar items from our younger years.n10/10 for the upkeep.

What a complete surprise this place is. I felt as if I truly had been transported to another time.nnI love the way everything feels as if it belongs in the museum space rather than having been artificially put there..nnThis was a fascinating visit and I want to come back in October, when I next visit Hervey Bay.nThe men working there on our arrival are so welcoming and friendly.nnWe loved it

Absolutely a wonderful museum to spend an afternoon. Everything is labelled with the description of the items which is great. I appreciate all the work that goes into operating the museum from staff and the many volunteers. Keep up the great work.

Didn't know what to expect but was very happily surprised by what was on offer. Lots of history on display to interest all ages. Recommend timing your visit to include the blacksmithing, corn husking, wood turning & rope making displays. Friendly, knowledgeable guides.
