This was a beautiful stop on our way back to Brisbane. If you choose to take a walk along the pier it is a wonderful 1.2 km walk one way. Expect to meet some friendly locals, one in particular, the 7 fingered, two thumb pirate (Pete or Paul I think), he was quite a character and a regular on the pier; even one of the local pelicans knows him quite well and doesn't mind a feed from him. Great coffee in the area too.
