Kuranda Original Rainforest Markets

Lots of interesting stalls. Was a quiet day, Monday and not all shops open. But we enjoyed not being so crowded.

Tourist attraction in Kuranda. But keep in mind that nothing sold here is made in Australia. All souveneers come from asia including Bull Horns ( despite authentic certificate they are made in Vietnam). So keep this in mind when you buy it.

Quirky little town full of colourful little market stalls & shops. Worth the drive, with a gorgeous little walking track through the rainforest, which is attached to the markets!ud83dudc4d

Still fun to be had here if you enjoy shopping. I can tell the international travel ban has been hard here, currently all the Kuranda markets look sad compared to when I saw them a generation ago.

I've been here 3 times in the past 20 years. First time it was busy and thriving and then in the last 3 years 90% of the stalls are closed or empty. It's a shame there is no atmosphere here anymore. However, my daughter's did love the butterfly sanctuary across the road.
