I wanted to buy a boomerang as a memory to Australia. I found by far the best in this little shop in the heart of cairns.nnBesides from some very interesting facts about the aboriginal culture we got a free lesson in playing the didgeridoo.nnVery cool, you should visit, if you are in town.

I bought a didgeridoo from them and was told the meaning of the carvings and the artwork by the creator, Trevor. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. It arrived via FedEx and in perfect condition. The boomerang that I purchased and had shipped along with it, however, was broken in two. I can't even glue it back together because the wood splintered when it broke. It wasn't packed in anything more than a single plastic grocery bag. I've emailed them 3 times, once with pictures of the damaged item. No response. So the verdict is still out on their customer satisfaction. It was the one thing my son requested that I bring him from Australia. I'm pretty bummed. If they contact me and ship another one I will definitely retract the negative part of this comment.

I highly recommend these shop! I had a nice conversation with Trevor. He had an amazing knowledge about the aborigines and could explain the meaning of every didgeridoo. It was a nice atmosphere and he gave me never the feeling that I have to buy something because he worked with passion and not just for the earnings. Without his support and explainations I hadn't bought anything...because he convinced me! ud83dude0a

Just know that any didgeridoo sold in that store is a FAKE one. Just a stick that they drilled a hole into. You'd be confused by endless charm and stories by Trevor the sales men who never bothers to tell you that the didgeridoo you are buying is nothing but a stick that costs a lot of money and you might as well grab a PVC pipe and blow it. In no way it is worth the money they ask for it

Trevor is an excellent storyteller. But $1100 for an ironbark didgeridoo is ridiculous. You can get a decent acoustic grade ironbark didgeridoo for about $230 just 400m radius from this place. Go to universal joint for the stories and to learn to play but not to buy.
