Why do they even advertise this place? There is nothing there besides a few large screens. Boring. Waste of time. Do NOT go.
Perfect place for kids to play. The large interactive screens are very fun! One features a giant aquarium where fishes will follow your finger on the screen. You can also click the bio to read up more about each creature. It’s really therapeutic to sit around this large screen. I was told that they would sometimes change the display to some other stuff. On the right of this interactive aquarium there are more screens to play with and at the entrance there’s another screen which brings you to the various planets. You can try the gravitational force and play toss items around to learn about different gravitational force on different planets. Very fun! Very cool!!
Good show
My kids and wife were skeptical about this place but we spent a very enjoyable 90 minutes fiddling with the interactive large screen displays the cover astrophysics, wind tunnel simulators (for various airframes and cars) and feature short biogs of Newton, Tesla, Einstein and Curie. It is interesting as the QUT students are variously working, chatting, lounging or in glass-walled classrooms. Restaurants and coffee shops and a uni book shop with some toys for smaller kids. Excellent!
Great place to take the kids for some interactive educational activities. My kids loved it when the dinosaur ‘attacked’ the glass the best. Smaller than I expected though it’s a great free activity to do on the way to others places. Cheaper parking on weekends so you can park, attend and then explore other areas such as Southbank.
