Anzac Square & Memorial Galleries

These gardens make a beautiful lunch spot to retreat from the bustling streets of Brisbane. And the fact that Anzac Square was built with so much symbolism is incredible. One example is the steps have 19 in one part and 18 in the second part for 1918. And I’m told it’s an excellent spot for Anzac Day.

Spent an hour going thru this memorial, which consists of three display areas, one each representing WWI, WW2 and following conflicts. There are many plaques commemorating important events together with interactive displays with information on areas with our military involvement in Queensland, other areas and the Pacific etc. Also, the staff are very well informed and very helpful. So glad we visited.

The galleries was ok. Lots of work has been put into the WW1 and WW2 sections, but there is a relatively empty room with a couple of tvs for every single conflict since WW2.nnCould really use some effort into this part of the display.

Such an amazing job has been done with the upgrade. So peaceful/ ladies informative/interactive exhibits. A must see ❤ufe0f
