Okay to visit, but due to climate change, this statue is becoming more and more hot to touch in daylight hours. At night time this place does have random dance parties and are very interesting. It's great if you like house, trance or chicken music. If you bump into a girl called Bev, tell here I said hi
Seamus Ryan (04/01/2020)
T J Ryan was the son of an illiterate Irish free settler who started his working life as an assistant teacher, but eventually became a Queen's Counsel. He was deeply involved in the early days of the Australian labour movement and defended labour activists in court. His integrity and passion saw him rise rapidly in the Queensland political scene. As Premier, he introduced a series of measures protecting worker's rights, breaking the power of business monopolies, and other socially progressive legislation. Nationally, he is best known for leading the anti-conscription movement against the Prime minister, Billy Hughes, winning two referenda on the issue. He was clearly headed for national leadership but died prematurely of pneumonia in Barcaldine while campaigning for the Labor party in a Federal election in 1921.nHe is buried in Toowong cemetery.

This historical statue is located at the corner of an intersection off the highway. While there is no major issues with the statue itself, I cannot recommend visiting this statue in the day due to its location where the sun will shine mercilessly especially in the summer while visiting at night does not help with learning about the statue.
