Castle Hill Lookout

Great trails, you can either take the road up or make your way up through the multiple trails around which is usually a 5-6km round trip. Road is a steady incline and easy for the average person. Trails can be a little steeper would recommend a moderate fitness level.

Townsville is full of hidden and far away treasures, but then when in the city you look up to their central gem. Standing proud over the city this picturesque hill with stunning vistas. The walk in an awesome challenge, fun at all ages and with pets even better.

One of the places which every visitor to North Queensland must visit.

Great challenging walk up the goat track with lovely views waiting at the top. Only downside is that the lookout points are a little tired and lacking in benches. Would be nice to have some more pleasant areas to relax and enjoy the views after the workout!
