Mason Wines

My partner and I visited on Sunday, we had a lunch reservation but arrived earlier and they were very accommodating, we were able to have some wine in the sun and really relax before heading to the restaurant for lunch! Food was phenomenal. Highly reccomend and will be returning!

I was expecting something more. The lunch was excellent, delicious starter and tasty fish for the main course. The white wine with the meal was good as one would expect at a winery.nHowever, the wine tasting session was poor. Very basic one line explanation of the 3 wines we tasted. Nothing on the history of the company or the wine making production. Coming from the home of port wine (Porto in Portugal) I am used to the professional tour and tasting which all the port wine companies give. The fact that there were only 2 other people tasting wine probably is indicative.nThe lunch saved the day!

Chris, Marcus & the team were fantastic! We had all our families come from Canberra, Brissy and the Gold Coast for a huge family birthday party & had a wonderful, relaxing and fun time staying in the 2 houses at the winery we rented over the weekend. We loved the wine tasting and posh lunch with beautiful views at the restaurant. So many local area attractions which are so close and good for ages - the rainforest canopy walk is a must-do, & the small town has a wonderful Friday night country buzz and all the supplies we needed. We had very young children, primary aged kids and young to mature adults - all had an excellent weekend - felt like 5 days holidays! The fireplaces and amounts of spaces, green views from every room and both houses, lovely wines and outstanding food were all excellent! Well done & thanks! Beautiful place, the staff is super friendly, the owner explained us the process and types of grapes in every wine we tasted. In addition, the view is amazing.nnThe only reason why I'm not giving 5 stars is because when we ordered shared food for 4 people, they only provided 2 tiny beads, we asked for more as we were 4 and they brought 4 tiny slices and charged us for every single tiny slice which for me is just a lack attention to customer service, as the original plate should have come with the correct number of tiny slices. These little ridiculous details make a huge difference on a customer experience.

Catching up with off-the-mountain friends. Our first choice for lunch is Masons. Everything is just right from location on the verandah; friendly efficient staff but most of all the chef. Menu options are always exciting and meals are full of flavour. Our friends were very impressed.
