I highly recommend Poseidon Reef Tours for anyone who is looking for a once in a lifetime Great Barrier Reef Adventure. The knowledgeable crew who all had great humor, the food (yum) and the boat, what a beauty. Shout out to Gordon, what an absolute legend! Thanks for the awesome certified dives Gordon, will be back.

I normally never write reviews but I have to share this. I would not recommend this to anyone. The diving sites where poor and also safety wise I would not recommend it. The diving guide Yukito left me alone to go up to the boat 3 times after I ran out of air!! He didn’t want to take the group to go up with me since I was the first one to run out of air - he figured I can deal with it on my own (I’m an open water diver). The bad thing was: I didn’t have the right equipment for a proper 3-minute safety stop and when ascending I was on my own in the open sea with a current.nnLuckily, they do have a very good emergency lady on board and when she saw me struggling in the open sea, she came to get me. I understand that you want to make it a nice tour for everyone but leaving a diver on its own in the open sea is unacceptable. I hope no one has to experience that again.

Don't even doubt in going with them for 1 day scuba diving trip! Everything perfectly organised, our scuba dive was not only taking care of every detail but also he knows so many things about the underwater world!nThe food was awesome and the tea/chocolate was brought to us by the stuff so we weren't uncomfortable cold at any time. The reef was also beautiful and I was told that the reef for 1 day trips is not so nice - completely wrong! And after the trip you can choose to stay in Port Douglas instead of coming back to Cairns, this city is amazing beautiful, perfect for an afternoon after scuba diving :)

The overall experience was good. Skipper was really great as well as the majority of staff.nHowever, a diving instructor Shay was a terrible instructor and she seemed to be not confident at all while taking us on dive (I am a certificated diver).nFor future reference, I recommend to you to not dive with her and she should be only doing snorkelling tours but not diving tours with experienced divers.nP.S. the French girl who served our food was excellent, she is 10/10 !

Absolutely amazing experience. Not too many people on the boat. We did our first scuba dive and loved it so much we did it a second time! Amazing. Scuba Steve was fantastic!
