Bally Hooley Steam Railway

Great for the family, especially if you are visiting Port Douglas with children. The train journey, short and sweet, is a relic of the colourful Far North Queensland history. Using the original infrastructure and even a steam engine (Sundays Only, every other day they use the more modern diesel engine), children get to participate in turning the train around on one of the carousels. The conductors provide commentary and the the overall experience is not to be missed.

Great little narrow gauge steam train ride.nCheck the times though as it doesn't run every day.

The captain was fantastic in comentating about the area. Allowing the boat to stop and observe birds I've never seen in the mangoes. Would highly recommend this trip
