Chemist Warehouse Darwin GPO

After years of our family being a customer of ChemistWarehouse for our monthly medications and almost weekly visits we had the worst experience from this branch. Purchase two packets of their house brand Healthy Way Perky Pumpkin seeds and upon opening one packet we found the the product was not fit for purpose, impossible to get kernel our of the hard shell in an edible form. Took them back for a refund as per Australian Consumer Guarantee and was told by Pharmacist Michael (m. Pharm) clearly not customer focused ,that they do not give refunds (despite their web sites returns policy). We have since discovered that every customer review shows complete satisfaction with this product. This company clearly does not stand by it's products. We have since requested our families scripts to be returned so we can go to another pharmacy.

Worst and panic experience I got today from this Darwin GPO Chemist Warehouse..! I went inside the shop to buy a baby pacifier for my new born baby around 6:55 pm, I was reading the price and level of the pacifier to choose the right one. Suddenly, I found electricity gone, I thought may be power cut but few seconds later it looks likes abnormal for me and then I went to service counter. And then I realized the shop is close and all staff left me inside alone..!?!?!? What a panic situation..! Then I tried to call the people through the sliding glass door and luckily two security officer were driving their small car on the foot path and I able to contact them and with their suggestion I figure out to came out from the shop..!!!!! What a customer service from Chemist Ware House..!!???!! I didn't know they close by 7pm at that day as they normally close by 9pm. But my question, before closing a shop, why they didn't check inside whether people are still their or not, why they didn't announce...??? It is a big issue of Work Health Safety and Security. Can you anyone tell me the answer. Should I go law enforcement agent or court for this incident? It is really a scary situation.

I don't like the way they behave to customer so rude . yesterday me and my friend was looking looking for some stuff there was already opened foundation then the lady said to buy it she said it was already opened and tested why should I buy she was so rude and said throw it so bad experience .

I'm surprised at the negative reviews - I've been here a number of times in the last month and couldn't have found the staff more helpful and the security gents polite. The store is uncluttered, modern and well-stocked. Regrettably for the Chinese customers, the recent issues with 'personal shoppers' from mainland China - and the emergence of organised theft rings to feed that market - would naturally lead to more vigilance by the discount pharmacy retailers. It's unfortunate, but a sign of the times. I've seen them in CW so often now, sucking up bulk loads of products like so many human locusts. It's a shame for the Aussie Chinese.
