Dr Meei Yeung - Thyroid Parathyroid Surgeon

Dr Yeung is amazing. Great personal and professional skills, very lovely to talk to. My surgery was done very successfully thanks to Dr Yeung, speedy recovery and wound was minimal. I had a few concerns prior to the surgery, but Dr Yeung patiently explained all the matters for my peace of mind. Highly recommend Dr Yeung for any thyroid matters.

My left thyroid had been removed more than 10 years ago by a respectful professor, when I had thyroid problems again this time the professor retired long ago. I searched online and found Dr. Yeung, after reading all the reviews; I decided she is the best I could find. I believe the reviews because all of them have a story, not just a few good words. Before meeting Dr. Yeung and her secretary Jemma I felt I already knew them. They are actually really like people said, very nice.nI had surgery 14 days ago at the Alfred Hospital. This time surprised me. After surgery about two hours I walked myself to the bathroom, 24 hours later I took trams back home all the way without pain. Since surgery I have not taken any painkiller for pain. The scar is even better than before.nBy comparing the two operation experiences, this time like a miracle, I guess she may have some high-tech tools or new ways to operate so she could minimize the wound. She is a really brilliant Surgeon and exceeds the seniors of her profession.nBeside the super surgical skill she is genuine compassionate and care person, extremely thorough. She explains everything you need to know even if I do not have a question.nNo doubt she is one of the best in her field. I would not recommend her highly enough. Being her patient I count myself lucky.nJemma is a wonderful secretary; she runs the office smoothly with booking, blood test and all administration tasks. I have had an excellent experience with both Dr Yeung and her assistant Gemma. Both have made me feel so at ease with the whole process and are so kind to deal with. Dr Yeung has an amazing bedside manner, and really listens. She doesn't recommend surgery for the sake of it and will give you an honest opinion on anything you ask. The biggest thing for me was that she listens, and didn't dismiss any concerns I had even if they were ill informed from someone else. I felt like I was part of the process and decisions rather than being told what was going to happen. At the hospital while recovering it was clear that the nursing staff were big fans of hers also, particularly her level of organization and kind nature. I couldn't recommend her more highly!

I was fortunate to be referred to Dr Meei Yeung by my GP for management of my thyroid issues. I found Dr Yeung to be exemplary in all her dealings with me pre and post surgery. She was extremely professional, comforting and reassuring and explained the whole surgical process in a way that I was able to understand, whilst at the same time answered all my questions regarding the process. I am now in recovery post-surgery and already delighted with how I am feeling. I am delighted to recommend Dr Yeung very highly and say that my experience with her has been extremely positive in every way.
