My partner had her 21 week scan for our second child. The scan was fine the sonographer was professional and I had no issue with the scan itself. I took a half day so I could see the scan and occupy my first child who can sometimes be a little handful. As we where leaving I asked for a attendance certificate for work. FYI I also work in radiology. They refused to give me one saying it was for my partner and not me. I've never had this issue with any clinic before. I argued with them and stated that I also work in radiology and have given certificates to partners or parents etc who have taken days off work to accompany the patient for reasons for picking up the patient after or accompanying them for medical related appointments or procedures.nnIn addition my partner has had her scan there with our first child and they gave me a certificate last time. They stated they would never do that. So basically calling me a liar.nnBe careful family members or friends if you take a day off work to accompany a patient to this clinic. These people have no compassion for anyone. In this case I wanted to be there for the scan because of our joy for a second child however sometimes people who have scans don't necessarily want to be there due to illness or potential diagnosis.
