Studio P - Ceramics

Vaughan and Katie are warm and welcoming potters who were so friendly and helpful throughout the class..if I am honest I didn't want to leave! Their studio is spacious, they make the options for firing and glazing easy, and both kids and adults had such a good time. Although there were many of us at this private event they took the time to help each of us with our pieces!!! They were clear with their instructions and just really open and kind people. Definitely will be back.

What an amazing 4 weeks I’ve had. This was my first time ever doing pottery and I had the best teacher in Katie. She is friendly, knowledgeable, talented and patient, and gave clear instructions with each demonstration before we headed off to have a go for ourselves. Katie was so good at making us all feel that we were able to produce something of value, I’d say her encouragement gave us all confidence in what we were doing. But most of all, she made it fun, and now I can’t wait to see the finished products after they have been fired with the glazing. My partner and I had the most amazing time attending the Thursday evening intro course. This was my first time doing pottery and with the help of Katie we had the greatest time making a mess and learning the fundamentals of using clay! I highly recommend to anyone who has an interest in pottery with or without experience! It's a real blast!

I really enjoyed the weekend course I did recently at Studio P. Vaughan and Katie both explained all the parts to wheel throwing clearly, then guided us to do it ourselves. I felt like I had a good base skill by the end of the course. I can’t wait to do a longer course. And lunch was delicious too. Highly recommended!
