Alex Penton - Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist

Alex is an extremely talented make-up artist and hair stylist and all-round wonderful person.nnI feel very lucky that Alex did my hair and make-up for my wedding in September 2020, as well as my bridesmaids and mother. I have never felt so beautiful or received so many complements. My hair and make-up remained flawless until the very end of the night.nnNot only was Alex and her team so incredible on the wedding day, but in the lead-up as well. Alex took the time to understand the vision I had for myself and the bridal party and provided very useful advice during the trial which I took on board to ensure my wedding look was flawless. Additionally, Alex's calm and optimistic demeanour was very much welcomed during the pandemic.nnI cannot recommend Alex enough for anyone that is looking for a professional, talented and passionate make-up artist and hair stylist. I feel very fortunate that she looked after myself and my loved ones on such an important day.

Alex is highly professional and lovely to work with. Alex did a great job for me, my mum and my bridal party's hair and make up. So pleased that all of our makeup and hair hold up really well throughout the big day! Alex had shared a lot of tips and tricks in the pre-wedding planning process, from time scheduling, face & hair care routine to hotel recommendation. I was particularly impressed with Alex's assertive communication skill, attention to details, and customer-centric approach. Alex is a great listener, she absolutely respected each of our needs. Alex is patient and tailored her service to each of our needs. Last but not least, Alex's pricing was very reasonable. Overall, great value!

Alex arrived the morning of my wedding on time and ready to work with a smile on her face and a sweet, calming demeanour. She asked how I wanted to look. I wanted a more natural look than the typical bride, but I wasn’t sure about details. She respectfully listened to my requests, gave advice, and worked throughout the getting-ready period with a calm, collected stress-free attitude. She has a wonderful eye for colour and style, she is flexible and professional at the same time. I was tremendously relaxed, and I knew I could trust her on the day of my wedding. She did such a wonderful job, my makeup looked fabulous and lasted the whole day. My hairstyle was elegant, flawless, and lasted until the next day. She was also friendly and fun, it was like having my best friend helping me on my big day and she even helped me with my wedding gown. Alex is a true professional and so talented!nnEverything on my wedding day went amazing! We had 6 ladies to get hair and make up done in time for my midday ceremony, so it was a big morning.. Alex's attention to detail and experience really shone and we had so many fabulous comments on all our hair & make up. Alex and her assistants were just fantastic and all our hair & make up lasted so well.nnI just wanted to say thank you so much to Alex for being so professional, relaxing, calming (even reminding me to breathe!) & on top of everything in the morning, it was a big highlight of all the ladies' days and I couldn't recommend her more :)

Alex has a talent for making your best features shine in the most natural way. She is not only an exceptional makeup and hair artist but a beautiful human who made the few stresses of my special day all the more manageable with her calming and cheery style. I don’t usually wear a lot of makeup, so the fact that Alex uses quality products with deliberate artistry meant that at no point did it feel overdone. I can’t thank her enough for her amazing work!
