Walk In Mine

This was a great place to come if you want an authentic look at a mine. Well maintained and not too many stairs down. We got through it in about 20 mins or so after having a good look at everything, taking lots of photos and watching a bit of the movie in the underground cinema. Movie itself is very old and could be updated along with some more modern signage. It's self guided plus there's a lovely gift shop to look in too.

The walk in mine was awesome to see with helpful, polite and great staff willing answer any opal mining and prospecting questions with spectacular opals for sale on display. The walk in mine is a must see to become and understand opal mining. Great movies, reading information and a free coffee or tea for the small $20 great value fee. I showed my opals i found and they informed that I had 1 valuable specimen.

Short walk through an Opal mine accessed by just a few gentle steps. The workers here are knowledgeable and willing to share their expertise. You can even sort through some tailings to see if you can find yourself some Opal (or just buy your own in their shop).

Great adventure

Friendly service and a great introduction to our Ridge getaway. Beautiful opals and very reasonably priced. The mine was well set up and we enjoyed reading all the information along the way.
