Pharmacy First

I recently went to Mt Isa for a work trip and decided to extend my trip over the weekend to enjoy the town. I enjoyed myself a little too much on the Friday night and Saturday morning saw me wildly hungover and in need of the morning after pill. I strolled down to the extremely eye catching building and was greeted upon entry by a lovely staff member. My interaction when asking for the emergency contraception was handled with discretion by the sales assistant and by the Pharmacist when I was passed over to her for further questions / advice. The Pharmacist (by the name of Cathryn) not only handled the scenario with discretion, but also presented a friendly and caring demeanour that was completely void of any judgement. I have gone to other pharmacies in the past that have not handled these delicate situations with anywhere near the level of care given by Cathryn, and the other staff member. I would definitely recommend this Pharmacy as a number one preference for your Mt Isa medication needs!

I had an appointment booked with Pharmacy First today. A man called me 21st August and cancelled it due to been short staffed. Apparently the person looking after me was on holiday. Today I get a SMS message saying to come in for my appointment this afternoon. I called to confirm this and after waiting on hold for nearly 3 minutes listening to their on hold message about how customers come first etc. Someone picks up the phone I hear voices in the background and they hang up. I call back and it takes nearly another 3 minutes for this person called. This guy said he forgot to cancel the SMS reminder message (in other words stuff the client). He also said the appointment is cancelled until further notice due to the lack of staff. So much for customer service and all the bull on their website about: 'Where you come first'.... This is ONLY my opinion, if curtain individuals/businesses get a monopoly on a particular product/service 'Where you come first' doesn't apply. Oh, will be stopping my wife from spending her $220.00 plus a month on prescriptions at Pharmacy First

Never have I been so rudely treated or spoken too as I have been here. This was my 4th attempt at trying to get my prescribed medicine and being told there out of stock when they told me 3 times before that they have ordered it in. Incompetence, very poor management and very impolite to the customers. Shame on you Pharmacy First !!!!

Rude and completely disorganised Staff member served me with no customer service skills. Never had this problem at either of the other 2 pharmacy's in Mount Isa

Leigh and the super friendly team at Pharmacy First always go above and beyond, and not only that they are the only health food shop in town with reasonably priced produce - a vegan haven here in Mount Isa. Thank you so much Leigh for providing such an amazing service and products - Mount Isa would be lost with you and your team.
